New recording have been added of 'On a Poem', 'Images', and 'Cello Suite". Check the Music section for new scores and recordings.

 

November, 2007

Christopher will be having a performance of "Melody with Gesture", "Images", "On a Poem of Baudelaire" and "Suite for Solo Cello; Variations on Wondrous Love" in a performance dedicated to his recent work in Walter Hall at the University of Toronto. Performers will include guitarist Rob MacDonald, Madawaska String Quartet, soprano Andrea Wiltzius, and cellist Rebecca Turner among others. Please check back for detailed information.


October, 2007

Madawaska String Quartet with guitarist Rob MacDonald will be in the studio to record "Images" for release on a recording for guitarist Rob MacDonald.


July 2007

Just finished a lengthy revision of my String Quartet. For audio and score samples click here. The work won the Carty Dellilo prize for chamber music.


July, 2007

Guitarist Rob MacDonald will be in the studio mastering "Suite for Solo Guitar" for an upcoming release.



August 24th, 2007

Guitarist Rob MacDonald will be performing the newly finished "Evening (Red Tree)" in a solo performance at the Sauble Beach Festival of the Classical Guitar. The work is inspired by the painting of Dutch artist Piet Mondrian.



March 4th, 2007

Christopher will be having the premiere of his second String Quartet at the Music Gallery at 197 John St. in Toronto, Ont.


Broadcast March 4th, 2007

On March 4th at 10 pm Christopher Will be featured on "Two New Hours" on CBC Radio 2 alongside broadcast of Melody with Gesture.


Karen Kieser Prize January 31st, 2007

Christopher has been awarded the Karen Keiser Prize for the work “Melody with Gesture”.

The award ceremony and performance will take place January 31st 2007 at the CBC Glen Gould Studio.
